Republican Perspective Tour

Tours  guided by someone from the Republican community who has experienced much of what has happened during the years of conflict to more peaceful times. (£18 per person).

Loyalist Perspective Tour

Tours  guided by someone from the Loyalist community who has experienced much of what has happened during the years of conflict to more peaceful times. (£18 per person).

 

Customized Private Tours

Tours  guided by hosts from the Republican or Loyalist communities, or both (Handover from one district to another). Your guide(s) will have experienced much of what has happened during the years of conflict to more peaceful times. Bogside, Creggan, City Cemetery, The Fountain, Former Ebrington Barracks / Bond Street, Shantallow, Gobnascale or Rosemount are areas that we can visit on customised tours. (From £18 per person. Are the tour guides locals with deep knowledge of the history?

Absolutely, our guides are locals who have a deep connection to Derry's history and are committed to delivering an authentic experience. Some of your tour guides may have exerienced conflict related imprisonment or have experienced first hand, the effects of the conflict.

An excellent tour that would, I am sure, work with any tour guide but for us was brought to life by our guide. He deserves huge praise for bringing a difficult period in our recent history to life. His deep knowledge of the events, his familiarity with the area and the people involved, and the passion and, when appropriate, the wit and good humour, with which he talked us through the story that unfolded through 'the troubles', left a deep impression.
